Oto i ON:
Dear future host family!
First of all
I want to thank you for consideration. My name is Anna, I am 23 years old
and I’m from Poland. Since 2010 I live in a city called Białystok, which is the
city where I’m studying. In September I get a bachelor’s degree in Russian
philology on University, earlier I was in high school on the profile of
language in my hometown – Dąbrowa Białostocka. I lived there in a single-family
house with my parents, grandmother, my older brothers and bunch of animals. I’m
always so thankful to have an opportunity to live close to nature in such a
beautiful house where I have been surrounded with unconditional love from my
beloved ones.
My mother
name is Alicja and she is 55 years old. My father – Tadeusz is 56 years old. I
was always very proud that I have parents like them, because not only has they
raised me to share kindness, love, grace and understanding, but they has taught
me and encouraged me to be creative, unique and to not afraid to be different.
They taught me to pray for those who have hurt me, because they are probably
hurting very much inside. I had such a big opportunity to learn how to love, be
tolerant and respectful that I want to share that with other people.
My brothers
name are Wacek – he is 28 and he live in Białystok with his wife, and Wojtek –
26, he live in Węgorzewo where he is working as a solidier. I am so happy that
I grew up among older brothers because it taught me to be strong and confident girl.
How am I?
Firstly I want to say that I am patient, what I
think is important feature when you working with children. I am very good at handle
stressful situations, I stayed calm and try to calm everybody around me. I am
tolerant, so color of your skin or religion which you practice is not any
problem for me. I also think that four years of my studying when I was living
on my one taught me to be responsible, reliable, hard-working young woman. I
love cooking, probably because of my father, who is the best cook ever! I also
like reading books, watch a good movie, I love singing, I play piano and
guitar. Lately I’m so obsessed of the gym, I love running, bicycling, as much
as I can, I’m trying to stay in shape. I can teach your children how to ride on
bicycle, if they cannot yet. I passed drive exam in August 2009 and since that
time I was driving a lot and I never had an car accident. On one hand I am calm
and quiet girl who likes spend time in her room surrounded by cats, but in the
other hand I am full of energy, I love going out with my friends and family.
My experience.
When I start studying my parents was giving me
money for life, but I always thought, that if I want to be independent I should
start earn money for myself. In February 2013 my friend recommend me to her
friend who was looking for baby-sitter and that’s how I get my first job with
children. I was taking care of two kids, Dawid which was 6, and Patrycja – 2
years old. Their mother was working to 5 p.m. so I was picking them up from
kindergarten and drove them home where I was made meals for them and we were
playing waiting for their mom. I think that they liked me, they were calling me
“big sister” and always when I was coming for them to kindergarten they were
running to me like they want to show everybody that I came for them :)
My
second experience start at June 2013. I was taking care of one month old
baby-boy Bartek. Firstly I was scared of handle that little baby on my hands,
but after one day, when he start smiling to me I knew that I wanna stay with
him for more. I am so happy that I could be a part of life this little man even
if he will not remember this :) I will never forget his first step (13.03.2014)
and first fall (a few minutes later). For
this several months, when I was taking care of him I learned how to change
nappies, prepare milk, I sang him to sleep, sometimes, when was warm outside, I
was taking him for a walk. I think that the time spent with Bartek made me feel
more responsible than I thought I was.
Since
July 2014 I was looking after Kuba. My friend asked me if I would like to take
care of her friends son, when she’s working, so, of course I said yes. When I met
Kuba he was 11 month old. He was very calm and quiet child who loved to sleep. My
day with Kuba mostly started at 10 a.m. I was preparing him some soup, that I was
cooking by myself, taking him for a walk and playing with him. Kuba loves to
spend time outside, and usually after hour that we were walking across the
park, he was falling asleep in his baby stroller. I also was changing his
diapers and preparing milk for him.
Why do I want to be an au pair?
I had a great opportunity in my life, to growing
up in a home filled with love, where I was
learned how to love, be respectful, grateful, kind and honest. I want to share
this with other people. I love to spend time with children, their sincerity,
innocence and this smile on their faces when I teach them something new. I like
to feel that I can help them in every way and, be sure, that I will do all I can
to make them feel loved by me so they feel important and happy.
I
also think that the year in America is a huge chance for me to improve my
English, know new peoples, new cultures and see new places. I’m sure that it
will be an unforgettable adventure for me.
.
I
hope you learn something about me after you read my letter. So if you are
interested in my person, please contact me and ask about everything you want to
know. I am sure, you will not be disappointed in me.
Now I am
looking forward to hearing from you.
Your
faithfully,
Anna.
Przyjmę z przyjemnością każdą uwagę, więc nie bójcie się mnie poprawiać! :)
